Our beloved Delores "Lola" Cardenas Rodriguez 99 of San Angelo went to be with our Lord May 2, 2023.
Public viewing will be from 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM with a rosary to follow at 6:00 PM. Mass will be said at 10:00 AM Friday, May 5, 2023 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Father Freddie Perez, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Lawnhaven Cemetery under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.
Lola was born February 10, 1924 in Tankersley, Texas to Galindo Cardenas and Angelita Rodriguez Cardenas. She was a housekeeper for many years working for many families in San Angelo until her retirement. Lola was happily married to Guadalupe Losoya Rodriguez for 51 years until his passing in 1996. Together they had three children, the late Elida Rodriguez Navarro, Lupe Rodriguez and Annavelia Rodriguez all of San Angelo. Lola was a lifelong member of St Mary's Catholic Church where she served in various ministries. She loved cooking, caring for her family, attending church services and family gatherings.
She was proceeded in death by her parents; husband, Lupe; daughter, Elida Navarro; sister, Juanita Perez; three brothers, Santos Cardenas, Filipe Cardenas and Elijio Cardenas.
Lola is survived by her brother Juan Cardenas of San Angelo, son, Lupe Rodriguez of San Angelo; daughter Annavelia Rodriguez of San Angelo; three grandchildren, Armando Navarro and wife Cindy of San Angelo, Anthony Rodriguez and wife Crystal of Pflugerville, and Annalia Luna and husband Carlos of San Angelo; five great grandchildren, Armando Navarro and wife Briana of San Angelo, Jeremyah Rodriguez of Pflugerville, Joseph Luna and Carlos Luna both of San Angelo, and Zaria Rodriguez of Pflugerville; one great-great grandson, Zeke Navarro of San Angelo. She is also survived by many nephews, nieces, and other family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Armando Navarro III, Jeremyah Rodriguez, Joseph Luna, Carlos Luna, Ricky Cardenas and Adam Cardenas.
The family would like to thank everyone that cared for Lola at San Angelo Nursing and Rehab, Interim Hospice, Preferred Home Health, and Shannon Medical Center.
