Dena Leigh Alderman, 62, of Thrall, passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at her home with her husband by her side. She was born September 4, 1955 at Goodfellow AFB in San Angelo. Dena graduated from Central High School in 1973. She married her best friend, Jerry Alderman on January 18, 1986. They moved to Austin shorty after and finally found their way home to the country outside of Thrall, TX., where they spent many wonderful years together. Dena was the office manager at Plains Cotton Cooperative Association in Taylor, TX for the last thirteen years. Dena and Jerry made some of their best memories camping, fishing and spur of the moment trips, just to get away and go somewhere. A lot of those trips were to the Gulf Coast, where Dena fell in love with the ocean. It didn't matter where they went or what they were doing as long as they were together. One of their greatest joys was making one another laugh. Some of Dena's favorite things were reading, watching old movies and working crossword puzzles. Dena was a walking dictionary and Jerry never stood a chance when they played Scrabble. Dena is preceded in death by her five year old brother, Michael; her father, Gerald Feathers and her step-father, Marion (Merk) Harris. Dena is survived by her loving husband and best friend of 32 years, Jerry Alderman; her mother, Stella Harris of San Angelo; her brother, Kerry (Cindy) Feathers of Austin; her sister, Pamela and (Tom) Hann of San Angelo; her two stepsons, Todd (Jessica) Alderman of Eola and Logan Alderman of Leander; grandchildren are Todd Alderman Jr., Ruger Alderman and Kimber Alderman and numerous nieces and nephews.
