Dillon Mitchell

Dillon "Mitch" Mitchell passed away on January 31, 2025, at the age of 83.

There are no services planned. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Mitch was born in Waco, Texas on November 28, 1941. In 1959 he joined the United States Army. After moving to San Angelo, Mitch met and then married the love of his life Cissy on September 24, 1979. Mitch began working for the City of San Angelo and retired after 25 years.

Mitch enjoyed spending weekends with Cissy and friends camping, fishing, making frequent trips to the Frio River, and the occasional opportunity to make it to a casino.

Mitch was a very loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and a great friend to all that knew him. He will be deeply missed by all.

Mitch was preceded in death by his wife, Celia "Cissy" Mitchell of 37 years; his parents, Harlin Wayne Mitchell Sr. and Juanita Dillon Mitchell of San Angelo; brother, Harlin Wayne Mitchell Jr. of Borger; and sister, Patricia Louise Blaylock of San Angelo.

Mitch is survived by children, Samuel Roberts Sr. and wife Debra of South Jordan, Utah and Robin Andrews of San Angelo; five grandchildren, a handful of great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
