D.L. Kennedy

D. L. Kennedy, 91, passed away on Thursday January 15, 2015 at a local care center. Memorial graveside will be 2:00 pm Friday, January 30, 2015, at Fairmount Cemetery with Shane Taiclet, officiating. Arrangements are with Robert Massie Funeral Home. He was born on August 6, 1923 to James and Janie (Hamilton) Kennedy in Milo, OK. D. L. worked as a delivery salesman. DL served his country in the US Air Force and was stationed in Guam for most of his service. He married Alene Striplin and they had two children. Following her death D.L. found love a second time with Mamie Clark and moved to New Mexico to be close to her family there. He was preceded in death by parents, daughter, Frankie O'Neal, and both of his wives, Alene Striplin Kennedy and Mamie Clark Kennedy. D. L. is survived daughter, Ann Johnson and husband, Bob of San Angelo, TX; four brothers, Carl Kennedy of Topeka, KS, Harold Kennedy of Halton, KS, Ike Kennedy of Topeka, KS, Dub Kennedy of Bakersfield, CA; two grandsons, Michael O'Neal of Bakersfield, CA, Steven Johnson of Greenville, TX; four granddaughters, Debra Edmond, Lisa Taiclet and Julie Rea all of San Angelo and Rebecca Coombs of Springdale, AR; 14 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
