Donald Lynn McLaurin

Donald Lynn McLaurin ended his earthly journey on Friday, September 21, 2012 after a brief illness. He was born July 24, 1958, in San Angelo, Texas to Murdock and Elizabeth McLaurin. He attended Holiman, Lincoln and Lake View High School where he excelled and lived his dream of playing football. Donald was an avid fisherman and loved being outdoors. He enjoyed spending time with his family, whom he held most dear. His playful personality and creative holiday spirit will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Those left behind to cherish and celebrate his life are his mother, Elizabeth McLaurin of San Angelo; brothers; Michael McLaurin of Kyle, Texas; Kenneth McLaurin and wife Juanice of San Angelo, Texas, Larry McLaurin and wife Linda of Palo Pinto, Texas; Sister; Teresa McDaniel of Hutto, Texas; Aunt Helen Wilson of Grape Creek, Tx., numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins. Donald is also survived by special friends Gary and Teresa Ayers, Jim and Jeton Tumlinson and Daniel Stewart. He is preceded in death by his father, Murdock Mc Laurin Family Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 23rd from 6:00-8:00pm at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Monday September 24, 2012 at 2:00pm at Robert Massie Funeral Home with burial at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. The family would like to thank the nursing staff of Shannon Medical Center 6th Floor and the St. John 2nd Floor Skilled Nursing Facility for their love, care and affection during Donald's stay there. Pallbearers will be Cole McLaurin, Taylor McLaurin, Paul Wilson, Jim Tumlinson, Bryan McDaniel, Gary Ayers, Shane Bullock and Mike McLaurin Jr. The family requests that all who knew Donald celebrate his life and memory with joy and happiness. He is home now where there is no more sorrow and no more pain. We will love and miss you always, until we meet again.
