Donalda Sue Strickland, 83, passed away Sunday, January 2, 2022, at her home peacefully along the side of her husband, Gerald, and son Steven.

There are no services scheduled at this time; cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Mrs. Strickland was born August 18, 1938 in Ringling, Oklahoma. Sue graduated from Gainesville High School on October 2, 1955 in Gainesville, Texas. She married Gerald Strickland, the love of her life October 2, 1955 also in Gainesville, Texas. She has been a resident of San Angelo since 2006, and also resided in Granbury, Bowie, and numerous other places that Gerald's Air Force Service would move them.

Sue attended Christ for the Nations Institute, where they were given the names "Mom and Pop" to the residents that adored them. Sue also worked as a legal secretary in her earlier years, and raised two children, Steve and Lorie. Sue enjoyed line dancing, shopping, and interior decorating. She loved her time spent at the beach in Corpus Christi with Gerald.

Survivors include her husband, Gerald Strickland of 66 years, her son Steven Strickland and wife Lisa of Vacaville, California; her daughter Lorie Karol, and her husband Dennis of Katy, Texas; seven grandchildren, which include Stephanie, Danielle, Nicole, Bryan, Marissa, Ayden, and Ryley. She also had four great-grandchildren, Alexus, Gabriel, Sean, and Gracelyn.
Sue will be incredibly missed, but we know she is dancing with Jesus in Heaven. "In your presence, there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore" (Psalms 16:11)
