DORIS E. HICKEY

Doris E. Hickey (Vanderslice), 68, of San Angelo, TX, passed away February 22, 2008 in San Angelo. A private family service is pending and will be held at Turner Cemetery near Mineola, TX. Doris E. Hickey was born in Hallsville, TX, to Alver and Dessie Vanderslice. She lived the majority of her life in Lancaster, TX, where she raised two sons, was involved with Cub Scouts, and helped create the Lil' Tigers youth football team in the mid 1970s. She later worked as a seafood manager for Kroger's until her retirement in 2002. Doris is preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Francis and Patsy. She is survived by her Children, Gregory R. and Kenneth L. Hickey, her Sister, Geraldine Vanderslice, and Grandson Gregory R. Hickey Jr. The family would like to thank Dr. Chang, Dr. Ayass, Rio Concho Manor, the home health nursing staff and friends who cared and gave so much.
