Dorothy Elaine Boykin

Dorothy Elaine Boykin was her name; loving family, quilting and cooking was her game. At 96 years 11 months 11 days, she left this earth to rejoin Roy, her husband of 62 years. Roy preceded her in death on February 14, 1999; so mom was ready to see him again. Mom moved to the West Texas Community of Fairview, when she was 6 years old, with her parents Barry and Linda "Rose" (Stork) Brodnax. She was wife, mother, school cook at Fairview Elementary, great friend and the best Granny in the world. After 10yrs at Fairview, she retired and enjoyed crafting more than 50 quilts for which she won many ribbons. We are grateful that many of her family were able to spend Easter weekend with mom. Her son Richard Boykin and daughter, Barbara Landers and husband, Jim hosted the grandchildren; Paul and Sheri Landers, Marc Landers, Pamela and Don Satcher along with great-granddaughter Kaylee Raymer, was also there. Dorothy is survived by daughter, Barbara Ann (Jim) Landers of San Angelo, son, Richard Lynn Boykin of Water Valley, brother, Henry "Boley" Orr (Ginger) Brodnax of Wall, five sisters, Mary Ann Lossing of Morgan, TX, Doris Faye Yeary of Weatherford, TX, Gena (Kenneth) Perry of San Angelo, Lucille "Fanny" (Pat) Murphy of Morgan, TX, Linda June (Curtis) Day of San Angelo, brother-in-law, Wayne Mikeska of Eldorado. Each grandchild held a special place in Dorothy's heart; two grandsons, James Paul (Sheri) Landers of Lubbock, Byron Marc Landers of San Angelo, granddaughter, Pamela Kaye (Don) Satcher of Longview, great-grandson, Aaron (Katrina) Raymer, five great-granddaughters, Leah (Jake) Fluitt, Sarah (Jared) Brandon, Julia Landers, Selah Raymer, Kaylee Raymer, great-great-granddaughter, Rebeka Fluitt, three great-great-grandsons, Raylan Fluitt, Haldir Raymer, Beorn Raymer, five nieces, Linda Dunn, Leanne McCamey, Janis Mikeska, Dory Dixon, Loretta Dixon, eight nephews, Phil Lossing, Barry Brodnax, Mike Mikeska, Lanis Mikeska, Kelly Perry, Derek Downing, Bill Yeary and Dusty Day along with her special friends; Raymond and Lynda Grantham and Donna Landers. She was preceded in death by her parents Barry and Linda Rose (Stork) Brodnax, husband, Roy Richard Boykin, sister, Daisy Mae Mikeska, brothers-in-law, Bud Lossing and Glen Yeary. Viewing will begin Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at 8am and continue as family visitation starting at 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Robert Massie Funeral Home Graveside services will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2017, 11:00 am at the Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens, with Paul Landers, officiating.
