Dorothy “Dot” Harvey

Dorothy "Dot" Harvey, 89, of San Angelo passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2025.

Public viewing will be from 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM on Friday, January 31, 2025 at Robert Massie Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 1, 2025 Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens with Pastor Lane Landers of The Life Church of Arlington. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Mrs. Harvey was born on December 22, 1935 n San Angelo to Roy and Geneva Kelley Scott. Dot graduated from San Angelo High School in 1953 and later graduated from Angelo State University with a degree in business. She married Sam Harvey on September 10, 1951 in Brownwood. He passed away on August 27, 2016. She was a supervisor at Ethicon for over 25 years. She and Sam loved playing golf and traveling. Dot's hobbies also included baking sweets from scratch and sewing. She was outgoing, loving, sweet, and never forgot a face or name. Dot was a member at Immanuel Baptist Church.

Survivors include three children, Kenneth Scott Harvey and Almoria Freeman both of San Angelo, and Jenetha Cockrum and husband John of Frisco; three siblings, Dale Scott and wife Maribeth, Kay Bruton and husband Donnie, and Randy Scott and wife Vickie all of San Angelo; six grandchildren, Kasandra Esensee of San Angelo, Lane Landers and wife Rebecca of Arlington, Brent Emler and wife Dawn of New York, New York, Mandi Smitts and husband Micah of Keller, Caitlin Moran of Denver, Colorado, and Madisyn Duerkson of San Angelo; four great grandchildren, Hayley Guajardo and husband Anthony, of San Angelo, Garrett Helcl at Waco, Joscelyn Memmer and husband Kenneth of Arlington, and Fallon Landers of Arlington; and three great-great grandchildren, Jace Esensee of Ozona, Kino Guajardo and Freyja Guajardo all of San Angelo; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dot was a breast cancer survivor and in lieu of flowers the family would like memorials to National Breast Cancer Foundation, Kidney Cancer, or the Alzheimer's Association.
