Dottie Clatterbuck, 79, was born in Hillsboro, Tx. on September 3, 1934. She passed away at Medical Center Hospital, in Odessa, Tx. on January 25, 2014 after a brief illness. Dottie graduated from Gonzales High School, in Gonzales, Tx. She married her High School sweetheart, Jim Clatterbuck, soon after graduation. She moved to Ft. Worth, Tx in 1981 and worked 18 years for the Daycare Association of Ft. Worth and Tarrant county. After retiring in 1999, she returned to San Angelo, which was where her heart always was. In 2004 she moved to Odessa, Tx to be close to her daughter and grandchildren. Dottie absolutely loved to cook. She was constantly searching for new and unique recipes, trying them out on her family. She also loved to read and could be found with her precious books for much of each day. Her family and friends will miss her kind heart. She adored all of those in her life, they were everything to her. Dottie was predeceased by her loving husband, Jim Clatterbuck and her daughter, Gay Clatterbuck. Also preceding her in death were her parents Wilma and Buddy Hubbard, sister, Barbara Williford, brother, Kirk Hubbard, and grandson, Seth Southall. Dottie is survived by her daughter, Terri Southall and her husband, Shae Southall. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Halea Gallegos and her husband, Dean Gallegos, her sister, Dinah Denton, and two great grandchildren, Layla & Jase. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 from 5:00 to 6:30, at Robert Massie Funeral Home. A Graveside service celebrating her life will be held on Wednesday January 29, 2014, at 2:00, at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. "Love knows not its own depth until the hour of separation"
