Drusilla Larremore passed peacefully from this earth on Monday, December 4, 2017 at age 86. Born Zetta Drusilla Wigington on October 14, 1931 in her home near Rochelle, Texas, she grew up during the depression very conscious of shortages in basic necessities and the need to conserve and recycle resources. She graduated from Brady high school at age 16. Drusilla, "Dru", was married twice and had four children. She was an excellent mother and homemaker, baking from scratch, sewing, gardening, and keeping an immaculate home. As her children became older, she worked part time, then later earned an Associate's Degree as an RN and worked full time as a nurse until her retirement at age 67. She was a 42-year survivor of breast cancer. Her hobbies included sewing, knitting, crocheting, sketching, and oil painting. She was always independent and self-sufficient throughout her life, using the attributes developed in her childhood to make ordinary things useful, reusable, and valued. She is survived by her children Richard Sparks and wife Susie, Brenda Stallings and husband Joe, Carol Atkins and husband Lee, and Daniel Larremore and wife Sharon. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Viewing will be held from 9:00am to 8:00pm on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 9:00am on Friday, December 8, 2017, at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel, with Pastor James Hassell, officiating. Burial will take place in the Fairmount Cemetery under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.
