Efraim Aguirre Puente, 80 of San Angelo went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday December 4, 2012. Prayer service will be 7:00 PM Thursday December 6, 2012 at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Graveside service will be 11:00 AM Friday December 7, 2012 at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens with Pastor Elizabeth Franco of the Son of Jesus Christ Center, officiating. Arrangements are with Robert Massie Funeral Home. Efraim was born December 31, 1931 in Kenedy, Texas to Thomas and Margarita (Aguirre) Puente. He married Catalina Deleon on September 1, 1956 in San Angelo. Efraim retired from the City of San Angelo after 15 years of service in the water department. He served his country in the U. S. ARMY. He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters; Maria Hooiser and Aurora Campos. Efraim is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Catalina; daughters, Margaret and husband, Richard Salinas, Linda and husband, Sam Lara, Stella and husband, Steve Lawson, Elizabeth (Lisa) and husband, Leonicio Franco, Lydia and husband, Jonathan Harris; son, Efraim Aguirre Puente Jr. and wife, Lupe; brother, Abraham Puente; sister, Rebecca Cisneros; grandchildren Sandra Lopez, Maria Salinas, Brandon and Brian Lawson, Claudia Franco de Flores, Leo, Clarissa and Thomas Franco, Amanda Robinson, Brenda, Katherine and Stephanie Reyes, Ivy, Eric, Tristen, Isaac and Katelynn Puente; twenty great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be his grandsons; Brian Lawson, Leonicio Franco Jr., Efraim Eric Puente, Thomas Franco, Tristen Nieto, Joseph Salinas-Lopez II and Isaac Puente. The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Cerna and Dr. Cummings, nursing staff on 5 north and 5 south at Shannon Medical Center; Rachel Conover and Jim Benson as well as everyone who offered their thoughts and prayers in this difficult time.
