Elida was born February 8, 1953, in Ciudad Acuna, Mexico but moved to San Angelo early in life and had been a lifelong time resident. She worked caring for the elderly for over 20 years for various healthcare agencies, such as Girling Health, Jordan and Outreach.
Elida cherished time spent with her family every weekend if possible. She loved cooking for them as much as she could. Time spent with her children, grandchildren and great grand children was what she lived for.
She also loved to play Bingo and occasionally “strike it rich!” She genuinely enjoyed socializing with her friends there. She made an impact on everyone she met. Her laughter was contagious, and she could make anyone giggle at her jokes. Her laughter will never be forgotten.
Elida was a strong and courageous woman. She lived her life, giving to those she loved. She had a beautiful personality but could be very blunt too! She was loved by many and will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Audelio and Antonia Morales; her brother Jose Maria Morales and two sisters, Maria Aguillon and Anita Lopez.
Elida is survived by her children, Gricelda Elias and her partner Rudy Villarreal, Sonia Soto and her husband Gerardo, and Homer Elias Jr and his wife Yolisma; by her brothers, Armando Morales and his wife Sylvia, Pablo Morales and his wife Julia, Audelio Morales and wife Leticia, Florentino Morales, and Harvey Morales and his wife Yolanda; by her sisters, Antonia Noriega and her husband Encarnacion, Rafaela DeLeon and her husband Gilberto, Rosalva Valdez and her husband Francisco, Mirosalva Martinez and her husband Jose, Elva Arellano and her husband Crecenio and Martha Reyes; her grandchildren, Hector Soto and his wife Mandy, David Lee Soto, Jasmine Alanis and her husband Jose, Isaac De La Cruz and Meagan Garza, Jocelyn Hope De La Cruz, Alexis Hope Elias and Ashley Marie Elias; her great grandchildren, Kira Alanis, Kieran Alanis, Paisley Lynn De La Cruz, Damian Isaac De La Cruz, Gia Avery Soto, Natalie Grace Soto and Hector Elias Manuel Soto; and many loving nephews, nieces and friends.
