Eller Ruth Worden, 88-years-old, died in her home on May 13, 2016. A family and friends visitation will be from 6:00p to 8:00p on Monday, May 16, 2016 at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 1:00p on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at Wallace Creek Cemetery in San Saba. Ruth was born on July 22, 1927 in Midland, Texas to Sammie and Jamie Ruth Streich Miller. She grew up in Ballinger and worked at Bruce Field where her father was a civilian guard. She met her first husband, Frank Wroblewski, there, and they were married on November 5, 1943. Soon after, they moved to Detroit, Michigan where they raised five children. She met her second husband, Kenneth Worden, while working in the parts department at a Chrysler dealership in Detroit, and they married in 1974. They moved to Tom Green County, north of Miles, Texas, in 1981 where she worked as a caregiver. After the death of Ken in 2004, she was a volunteer at Hospice of San Angelo. She enjoyed camping with the Good Sam Club, sewing, and quilt-making, many of which were given as gifts to her family. A rattlesnake bit Ruth in 2005 while painting her porch. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands and sister, Helen. She is survived by her children, James Wroblewski (Debbie) of Miles, Ronald Wroblewski (Theresa) of Lakeland, FL, Bruce Wroblewski of Hutchinson, KS, Ruth Wilbourn of San Angelo, and Mary Light (Steve) of Sterling Heights, MI, her step-daughter, Susan Sharp (Doug) of Phoenix, AZ, her brother John Miller of Brownwood, TX, eight grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Hospice of San Angelo, 36 E. Twohig, Suite 1100, San Angelo, TX 76901.
