Elvina Ake Brady, 91 went to be with her Lord on Sunday March 2, 2014 at a local care center. Memorial services will be 2:00pm Friday March 7, 2014 at Emmanuel Episcopal Church with The Reverend Matthew Rowe, officiating. Graveside services will be 4:00pm Friday March 7, 2014 at Paint Rock Cemetery in Paint Rock. Elvina was born March 11, 1922 in Live Oak, Texas to James Henry and Cora (Harden) Ake. She married Bernard Cornelius Brady Jr on June 6, 1964 in Houston, Texas. She was secretary to the manager at South Western Bell for over 25 years and then helped her husband as co-owner of the Mid Town Plaza Pasadena Motel. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter; Betty Brown and a brother, Coolidge Ake. Survivors include her daughter; Shirley Gailey, sons; Bernard Allen Brady and Jeffery Scott Brady, 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild, sister; Jimmie Bebb and brother, Leonard Ake and numerous nieces and nephews.
