Elvira Cuellar, 95, of San Angelo went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 6, 2006 at her residence. Visitation will be held at 6:00-7:00 PM, Thursday, June 8, 2006 at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, June 9, 2006 at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with A.L. "Scooter" McCurdy presiding. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery. Arrangements are made by Robert Massie Funeral Home. Elvira was born October 7, 1910 in Del Rio to Presentacion and Pascuala Talamantes. She worked for the Cactus Hotel for 45 years before retiring. She married Gilbert Cuellar on September 28, 1930 and he preceded her in death in November 1967. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gilbert Cuellar, brothers Esau Cuellar and Abel Cuellar; sister Hortencia Bastardo and nephew Gus Cuellar. Elvira is survived by her son Oscar Cuellar and wife, Collette of San Angelo; granddaughters Brenda Cuellar, Michelle Ramirez and husband, Roland, Bonnie Painter and husband, Brian, Terri Jasso and husband, Michael, Amy Dougan and husband, Joey and Sara Cuellar all of San Angelo; greatgrandsons Mario Balli of Austin, Roland Gilbert Ramirez, Eric Ramirez, Robert Ynostrosa, Michael Jasso and David Jasso all of San Angelo; nieces Ada Bain and husband, Albert, Elfida Zuniga and husband, Fernando; nephews Esau Cuellar Jr and wife, Mary and Danny Cuellar of San Angelo; Great-great-grandchildren Aliyah Balli, Jaime Ramirez, Ryan Jasso, Jacob Jasso, David Jasso Jr, Makayla Jasso and Elijah Ramirez all of San Angelo. The family would like to thank Terri Jasso and her husband Michael for all the loving care they provided the last few years of Elvira's life and also request memorials be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
