EMMA NENA MARTINEZ VILLARREAL

Emma 'œNena'� Martinez Villarreal, 73 of San Angelo went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday April 6, 2010 surrounded by her friends and family. Prayer services will be 7:00 PM Friday April 9, 2010 at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Saturday April 10, 2010 at the Centro Christiano Hosanna Church with Pastor Juan Rivera, officiating. Burial will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Robert Massie Funeral Home. Emma was born July 7, 1936 in Sonora, Texas to Manuel and Marina (Sanchez) Martinez who preceded her in death. She resided in San Angelo since 1969 .She married Alex Villarreal on July 29, 1976 in San Angelo. Emma retired from Barry'™s of San Angelo after 25 years and then continued to work at the Rio Concho Terrace where she loved to help the people living there. To her family and friends who knew and loved her, she was called 'œNena'�. She lived her life for Christ and for her family; her sense of humor and her love will be missed. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister; she was also 'œTia Nena'� to many nephews and nieces that she loved as if they were her own children. Emma loved and raised her children to be strong, giving and to love the Lord. Emma is survived by her husband, Alex Villarreal of San Angelo; two sons, Elias Gomez and wife, Linda of Tampa Bay, FL., Jesse Gomez Jr. and wife, Liz of San Angelo; daughter, Lisa Duran and husband, Ernie of Stephenville, TX.; four step-sons, Raul Villarreal and his wife, JoAnn of San Angelo, Alex Villarreal Jr. and wife Herminia 'œBunny'� of Abilene; Ray Villarreal and wife Diane of Odessa and John Villarreal and wife, Beatrice of Odessa and brother, Gilberto Martinez of Sonora; Through all the love she gave we call her blessed among women. She will always be our Nena.
