Epolito D Duran

Epolito D Duran, 75, of San Angelo, passed away on Friday April 6, 2018. He was born on October 10, 1942 to Socorro and Refugia "Cuca" (Deanda) Duran in Rockwood, TX. Epolito was the 1967 Sheep Shearer Champion at the 52 annual Texas Sheep and Goat Raisers Association convention in San Antonio. He was the life of any party, always telling jokes. His family and friends were very important to him and he was known as a great dancer, winning several contests. Pallbearers are Adam Duran, Jake Duran, Zachary Capuchino, Cody Martinez, Jacobi Reynolds and Cameron Martinez. He is preceded in death by his parents, his baby daughter Sally Duran, brothers; Adam, Augustine Sr. & Ruben, his first love, the mother of his children, Adelina Cuellar Lopez and his last love, Elodia Carrasco. He is survived by children; Samuel Duran; Diane (Ray) Villareal of Odessa, Rena Turner (Frank Montalvo), Anita "Annie" Diaz , Helen Duran (Arturo Robles), 14 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and a great-great grandson; sisters; Josie Gallegos, Marylou Moreno, Sara Villarreal, Beatrice Elmer, Olivia Duran, Ermalinda Gonzales and Lucy Villarreal and a brother Alex "Cheo" Duran all of San Angelo. Viewing is 1:00pm to 8:00pm with a prayer service held at 7:00pm on Sunday April 8, 2018 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Funeral services are 10:00am Monday, April 9, 2018 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with his son, Pastor Samuel Duran, officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. The family wishes to thank the Dr.'s, nurses and staff at Cedar Manor for the excellent care given to Epolito and the wonderful people at St. Gabriel's hospice.
