ERIK JASON GREER

Erik Jason Greer, 38, of San Angelo was born February 6, 1971 in Sandvika, Norway. He departed this life on Sunday, September 13, 2009. He leaves behind a son whom he cherished and truly adored, Austin Tyler. Other family members left to mourn his passing include his mother, Roberta Avants and her husband Truell of Brenham; father, Lawrence Greer Sr. and wife Aretta of San Angelo; sisters, Tammy Meschwitz and husband Alfred of Brenham; Laura Leifeste and husband Paul of San Angelo; Virginia Greer and her friend Damon Gross of Fredricksburg; and brother, Lawrence Greer and wife Lisa of Burton; Step-Sisters, Trina Calkins and Teresa Calkins, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Erik was preceded in death by his loving grandmother, Nona Mae Reese of San Angelo. Family visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Services will be 12:00 p.m. Thursday, September 17, 2009 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Rev. Karen Schmeltakoph & Lawrence Greer officiating. Burial will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Ernest Juarez, Roy Norris, Craig Marcum, Paul Rainey, Tommy Havins, and Arthur Adams. Honorary Pallbearers will be Paul Leifeste, Alfred Meschwitz, and Damon Gross.
