Ernest E. Booth, 71, of Christoval, passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2005 in a local hospital. Rosary service will be at 7:00 PM, Wednesday, March 30, 2005 at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Celebration of the Resurrection Mass will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, March 31, 2005 at the Sacred Heart Cathedral Catholic Church with Father Maurice Voity officiating. Burial will follow at the Christoval Cemetery. Arrangements are made by Robert Massie Funeral Home. Ernest was born March 6, 1934 in Devine, TX, to Clifton and Alice Booth. He married the love of his life, Carmel Ann Kloesel, May 19, 1956 in Victoria, TX. Ernest was a retired Air Force, Senior Master Sergeant. He worked for St. John's Hospital as a Purchasing Agent retiring in 1987. Ernest dearly loved his family and grandchildren. They were his life and joy. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, who was most at home outdoors. He passed that passion down to his grandchildren. Ernest gave over twenty years of service to his country in the United States Air Force. His tour of duty, included time spent in Germany, Louisiana, Texas, Arizona, Alaska and Pennsylvania. After his retirement from the Air Force in 1971, Ernest, Carmel and family moved to Christoval, TX. Ernest served as a trustee on the Christoval ISD School Board. Ernest and his wife Carmel were blessed to be able to celebrate their love for each other for 50 years. He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Marie Ann Green, his parents, three brothers Clifton Booth, Norman Booth, George Booth, and a sister Joyce Burns. Survivors are: Wife:Carmel Ann Booth Daughters:Mary Dougherty and husband, Lynn Sue Herndon and husband, Rusty All of Christoval Son:Ernest E. Booth, Jr and wife, Julie Of Ft. Worth Brother:Nathan Booth Of Gatesville Son-in-law:Darren Green Of West Virginia Grandchildren:Justin Dougherty, Ashley Dougherty, Mathew Green, Melissa Green, Kevin Green, Alyse Herndon, Lance Herndon, Brian Booth, Emily Booth and Rebecca Booth. Numerous nieces and nephews. The family requests that Memorials be made to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Hermitage and Our Lady of Grace Monastery both of Christoval, TX.
