Ernest John Menn

Ernest J. Menn, born October 19, 1923 in Rockdale, Texas peacefully passed away on August 23, 2016. Viewing will be from 10:00am to 8:00pm on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 10:00am on Friday, August 26, 2016 at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens with Pastor Emmett Corker officiating under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home. A veteran of World War II he made his home in San Angelo, Texas. Working first at Montgomery Wards he moved on from his first employment to begin his new career as a painter for Doss Brothers from where he eventually retired. He married Rosemary Baker in Veribest, Texas on July 21, 1951. His wife passed before him on February 22, 2000. He is survived by his daughter Johna Phelps and husband Art, daughter Barbara Prindes and husband Scott. His son Bill Menn preceded him in death in 1986. He is also survived by his granddaughter Tracy Kirk and husband Justin, grandson John Phelps and great-grandsons Dakota and Kobe Roberson. The family would like to thank the caregivers of Meadow Creek Nursing Home and the caregivers of Hospice of San Angelo with special thanks to Dr. Chitwood.
