Ernestine A. Glass, 77, of San Angelo, died October 4, 2005 after a long illness. Rosary service will be held at 7:00 PM, Thursday, October 6, 2005 at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Mass of Christian service will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, October 7, 2005 at St. Margaret's Catholic Church with Father Joseph Choutapalli officiating. Burial will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are made by Robert Massie Funeral Home. Ernestine Anna Feist Glass was born July 25, 1928 to Gertrude Halfmann Feist and John Feist in Olfen, Texas. She was the oldest girl of ten children. She married Alton J. Glass, Sr., in 1947 and preceded her in death in 1981. Ernestine worked at K- Mart for seventeen years when she retired in 1981. She was an Avon Representative for twenty years winning many awards for Sales and Recruitment. She was a member of St. Margaret's Catholic Church of San Angelo, Catholic Daughter's and the American Business Women's Association. Ernestine never met a stranger and all will miss her. She is preceded in death by a son-in-law, Victor J. Cuba, a granddaughter, LaKendra Glass, a grandson, Lee J. Cuba, three brothers Arnold Feist, John Feist, Ray Allen Feist and one sister Dorothy Hoelscher. She is leaving behind one daughter, Linda and son-in-law, Jimmy Baker of Barnhart, and sons, Robert Glass of Ozona, Alton J. Glass, Jr. of San Angelo and Gary and daughter-in-law Kathy Glass of Eola. Her grandchildren, Grant and Cate Cuba, Jason and Shannon Glass, Michael Glass, James and Bertha Glass, Christy and Mike Mayfield, B. J. Glass, Pat and Janelle Glass, Nicholas Glass, Zachary Glass, two brothers Kelly Fiest and wife, Jo of San Angelo, Buddy Fiest of San Angelo, three sisters, Cecilia Schertz of Brownfield, El Doris White of San Angelo, Joana Brenek and husband, Victor of Wall, and her ten great-grandchildren, will also miss her. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Grant Cuba, Jason Glass, Michael Glass, James Glass, B.J. Glass, Pat Glass, Nicholas Glass and Zachary Glass. Her children would like to thank the family and friends for all the visits, calls, and prayers. They would also like to thank the Hospice of San Angelo "Angels" and the staff at Baptist Memorial Nursing Home for their great and tender care of our mother.
