Ernestine Moore, 87 of San Angelo died Monday February 11, 2008 at an area hospital. Funeral services will be held 10:00 A. M. on Thursday February 14, 2008 at the 1st United Methodist Church Chapel with the Rev. Nathaniel Hankins, officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery. Ernestine was born November 26, 1920 in San Angelo to Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Madison and Lena Mae Milner Steger. She was a housewife and was very active in Sunday school as a song leader. She enjoyed many volunteer activities including, helping the blind, Meals for the Elderly, State school and Retired Senior Volunteer. She was passionate about sharing the word of God with others and her 21 years of sobriety in Alcoholic's Anonymous and Alanon. She is preceded in death by her parents; a son, Micheal Moore and one brother Herbert Steger. She is survived by a sister, Ada Weathersby of W. Columbia, South Carolina; a brother; Dr. N. C. Steger and his wife, Ruth of Amarillo; two cousins, Gloria Kent of Eldorado and Mary Sue Stewart of San Angelo; and her very good friends, the Benes family of San Angelo.
