Ernesto Cardenas

Ernesto Calderon Cardenas, Sr., 84, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2020, at his home. Public viewing will be from 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday, March 22, 2020, at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Monday, March 23, 2020, at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel, with Ralph Gevera, Ernesto's Nephew. Burial will follow at Belvedere Memorial Park under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home. Mr. Cardenas was born February 28, 1936, in Pedras Negras, Mexico to his parents, Cayetano and Herlinda Cardenas. Ernesto married Ventura Gevara on October 24, 1961, in Eden. She preceded him in death on October 28, 2015. Ernesto worked for Bentwood country Club for several years. He was a strong hardworking man who cared for everyone in his life. He was appreciated by so many people. Survivors include his daughter, Tammy Trevino and husband Gustavo of San Angelo; two sons, Adrian Cardenas, and Ernesto Cardenas, Jr. both of San Angelo; two grandchildren, Eric Gomez, and Lulu Cardenas; and two great grandchildren, Isaiah Gomez, and Gabriel Gomez. Ernesto was preceded in death by three brothers, Jesus Cardenas, Ricardo Cardenas, and Frank Cardenas.
