Florencia Longoria

Florencia Longoria, 90, of San Angelo passed away on Monday, January 07, 2013 at a local nursing home. Rosary service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at St. Margaret's Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Swamy Lakkineni officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home. Florencia was born on July 26, 1922 in Junction to Onofre and Guadalupe Gonzales. She was a homemaker. Florencia married the late Porfiro Chapoy and later married Alfredo Longoria on July 20, 1954 in San Angelo. He preceded her in death on June 23, 1970. Florencia enjoyed going to Las Vegas seeing the shows, listening to the music and dancing. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Rosalinda Chapoy Reyes, a sister and four brothers. Florencia is survived by her son, Gilbert Chapoy Sr. and Betty Serano; son Jerry Gene Longoria and wife, Liz; son Bernie G. Longoria Sr. and Mary Presley; daughter Nancy Vasquez and husband, Sammy Sr.; daughter Norma Begil and husband, Henry; sister Tia Petra Gonzales all of San Angelo; twenty grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Randy Chapoy, Raymond Reyes Jr., Sammy Vasquez Jr., Bobby Sandoval Jr., Geneo Longoria, Bernie Longoria Jr., Brandon Chapoy and Jerry Vasquez.
