Florentina R. Lara

Florentina R. Lara, 98 of San Angelo went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday July 8, 2013 at an area care center. Rosary will be 7:00pm Thursday July 11, 2013 at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00am Friday July 12, 2013 at St. Mary Catholic church with Father Arogya Swamylakkineni, officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are with Robert Massie Funeral Home. Florentina was born October 3, 1914 in Brady, TX., to Vicente and Juanita (Solis) Rodriguez She was a homemaker and worked for SAISD as a special education aide. She married Santiago Lara on June 3, 1937 in San Angelo and they shared 26 wonderful years together until his passing in 1963. Pallbearers will be grandsons; Frank, Celestino Jr., David, Matthew, Jon and Steven. She is preceded in death her parents; husband; Santiago Sr., sons; Vicente, Doroteo, Fransisco, Santigao Jr., and Celestino Survivors include her sons; Jerry Lara of San Angelo, Paul Lara of Garland, daughters; Guadalupe Bermea of Garland and Olga Capps of Plano, Texas Celebrate my life with you And remember the good times Not the be sad; Look up towards the sun And catch every ray of light Upon your cheek For I am there with you.
