FRANCES H. REED SMITH

Frances H. Reed Smith was born September 26, 1931 in Carlsbad, NM to William C. Reed and Luella Reed. Frances went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 18, 2008 at the age of 76. Frances is preceded in death by her parents William C. Reed and Luella Reed; her husband, Dale Smith, two sisters, 1 brother and 1 great-grandson. Frances is survived by her three daughters; Geneva Penny and husband, Bill of Lake Ivie, TX, Betty Lou Dickinson and husband, John of Valera, TX., Lillian Russell and husband, Scott of Christoval, TX.; four grandchildren; Daila McAnally and husband, Bill of Ft. Stockton, Sheila Peden of San Angelo, Billy Dale Penny and wife, Amanda of Grape Creek and Allen Dale Scranton of San Angelo; 3 step-grandchildren; James Penny, Carolyn Roberts and Amanda Howeth; four great-grandchildren; Aaron Barquera, Andrew Barquera, Amber Barquera and Chelsea Penny; two sisters, 1 brother and several nieces and nephews. Frances Smith was a certified nurse's aide and the 1st Brownie troop leader at Bradford Elementary School. She was baptized at Lakeview Baptist Church. She loved people and enjoyed traveling, hunting and fishing and telling stories around the campfire. She will be loved and missed by all. A very special thank you to Dr. DeMory, Shannon Medical Center 4 South, Outreach Health Services staff and her special friends, Charlie Long and Linda Pinedo Visitation will be at Robert Massie Funeral Home from 6p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday July 20, 2008. Graveside services will be 10:00 a. m. Monday July 21, 2008 at the Miles Cemetery, Miles, Texas with the Rev. L. C. Messer of the Full Gospel Assembly, officiating. Honorary Pallbearers will be Alton Baird, Todd Baird, Fred Wells and Billy Morgan.
