Francisco Trejo Mata

Francisco Trejo Mata, 86 went to be with the Lord on Tuesday October 21, 2014 at his residence. Family visitation will be 6pm to 8pm Wednesday October 22, 2014 at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10:00am Thursday October 23, 2014 at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home. Francisco was born July 4, 1928 to Pablo and Florinda (Trejo) Mata in Villa Union, Coah. He worked at Western Iron Works for many years. He married Lilia Arispe on November 20, 1950 and next month; they would have shared 64 years together. Pallbearers will be his grandsons; Javier and Modesto Cortez, Manuel and Adam Mata, and Angel and Johnny Pena. He is preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife; Lilia Mata, five daughters; Armandina Cortez, Martha Moore and husband, Dwayne, Norma Ruiz and husband, Raul, Juana Pena and husband, Robert, Elia Acevedo and husband, Marino and four sons; Roman Mata, Juan Mata, Jose Mata and wife, Brenda and Jason J. Mata; 27 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren all of San Angelo; two sisters; Veva Mata husband, Paz, Anita Mata and a brother; Refugio Mata. The family wants to extend a special thank you to Hospice of San Angelo, Dr. Demory and Dr. Nussey, their nurses and staff for the excellent loving care shown to our family.
