Mr. Frank O. Jackson, Jr., 78, transitioned October 3, 2021, in San Angelo.
Public viewing will be from 12:00 PM until 4:00 PM and Funeral services will be at 4:00 PM Saturday, October 9, 2021, at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Pastor Joe Bourgeois, Eulogist, of the West Side Baptist Church, San Angelo.
Mr. Frank Oday Jackson, Jr, was born July 2,1943 in Wortham, Tx (Freestone County) to Frank Oday Jackson, and Ms. A.V. Brewer. Frank was educated in the segregated Fred Moore School in Denton, Tx.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Oday Jackson and Ms. A.V. Brewer; three brothers, Hardy Jackson, Kenneth Brewer, and Johnny B. Brewer; and two sisters, Billie Johnson, and Carolyn Bradley.
Frank valued his faith in Christ. He chose to be a Christian, and faithfully served his church and the Lord. While in Denton, he was a member of Galilee Baptist Church, Sanger, Tx, where Rev. Reginald Logan, a Fred Moore Alumni, is the pastor. In San Angelo, Frank continued his Christian service with Rev. Joe Bourgeois and the West Side Baptist Church.
Another character that Frank valued was working. He discontinued working just a few years ago, due to his health issues. With his beautiful smile, Frank greeted the customers at Walmart on South Jackson. He worked Security at Peterbilt Motors while living in Denton. His work career also includes working at youth centers and schools.
Frank loved his family. His survivors include his wife, Freddie Jackson; a son, Frank O. Jackson, III and wife Angela and grandson, Rudy Coronado; two step-sons, Billy Raydell White and wife, and Unice DeShaun White, Jr. and wife all of San Angelo; two step-daughters, Kim Thompson and husband Eddie, and Cecily McDade all of Fort Worth; a brother, Willie Brewer, Sr. and wife Sharon of Denton; a sister, Valarie Brewer of Denton; and an aunt, Faye Moturi and husband Ben of Denton; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, friends and fellow believers. "If I don't see you on this side, I'll see you on the Other Side."
