Frank Morrow Pool, Jr., 60, of Edmond, Oklahoma, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, in Oklahoma City. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 8, at First Baptist Church, with the Dr. John Petty of Kerrville Trinity Baptist Church officiating. Arrangements are by Robert Massie Funeral Home. Frank, Jr. was born in Houston, Texas to Frank and Elizabeth Pool on May 21, 1947. He graduated from San Angelo Central High School in 1965 and graduated from Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colorado with a Professional Engineering Degree in Petroleum Engineering. He married Valrie Sue Heaton on January 31, 1982, in Odessa, Texas. Frank Jr. was the Executive Vice President of United Engines, an Oklahoma City-based distributor of diesel engines since 2001. Prior to 2001, he was the Vice President of manufacturing at Stewart & Stevenson. Frank Jr. served ont eh scholarship committee of the Association of Energy Service Contractors. Frank is survived by his wife, Valrie, daughter Lara, parents, Frank and Elizabeth Pool, sisters, Mary Ellen Hartje and Martha Pool Elder, uncle, Vester T. Hughes, nieces, Kristen Hartje, Elizabeth Elder Chambers, Lauren Hartje Martin, Erin Hartje Coy, nephew, Stephen Elder, and great nephew, Owen Morrow Martin. Frank is also survived by his very special cousins and dear friends. Frank was an extraordinary person, and all who knew him adored him. He had a special gift for making us laugh. He was our rock. We will miss him more than words can say.
