Guadalupe M. Garcia, 89 of San Angelo passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at her residence. Rosary will be 7:00 p.m. Sunday, April 27, 2008 at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 28, 2008 at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart with Father Maurice Voity, officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery. Guadalupe was born March 4, 1919 in Uvalde, Texas to Adelfo and Margartia Mireles. She was a housewife and a faithful member of Cathedral of the Sacred Heart. She lived at Baptist Memorial and enjoyed that loving, caring community. She is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Cindy; a grandson, Richard and a sister, Adelfa She is survived by three daughters; Magdalena Tomlinson of San Angelo, Beatrice Rodriguez of San Jose, CA., Sulema Shelton of Fayetteville, NC., one son, John Gonzales III of San Jose, CA. and one sister, Elva Mireles of Menard; grandchildren are Michele Andrews, Michael Tomlinson, Dawn Chmiel and husband, Chris, Susan Shelton and Ana Haggard; great-grandchildren are Krystal, Zach and Jonathan Degnan, Christopher Andrews and great great-grandchildren, Tristian Degnan and Chantal Degnan Pallbearers will be Baldemar Gonzales, Gonzalo Gonzales, Joe Gonzales, Ernest Gonzales, Amado Gonzales, Rick Gonzales and Alex Gonzales. The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at Baptist Memorial for the love and care given to Guadalupe and our family.
