Gemila Jimenez

Gemila "Gemi" Jimenez, 90, of San Angelo passed away Monday, February 28, 2022 in Abilene.

Public Viewing will be from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Funeral Services will be 6:00 PM Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Mrs. Jimenez was born on February 23, 1932 in Mexico to Fructuoso Garza and Jovita Iglesias. She married Juan Antonio Jimenez on October 8, 1950 and he preceded her in death on September 1, 2020. They moved to the United States in 1980. Gemi was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother to her husband and their children. She loved playing loteria, cooking, tending to her plants and flowers, and raising animals when in Mexico. Gemi was a very loving and talkative person. She was catholic.

She was preceded in death by eight sisters and two brothers.

Survivors include three daughters, Pura Jimenez De Torres and husband Esteban of Mexico, Lucilla Rodriguez of Abilene, and Blanca Guajardo and husband Marco Antonio of San Angelo; three sons, Manuel Gerardo Jimenez and wife Celia of
Big Lake, Juan Antonio Jimenez, Jr. and wife Sandra of New Braunfels, and Fructuoso Jimenez and wife Roberta of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 18 grandchildren, and 49 great-grandchildren.
