GILBERT GARZA

Gilbert Garza, 60, of San Angelo, passed away Wednesday, September 08, 2004 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, September 10, 2004 at the Primera Iglesia Bautista with Rev. Robert Cuellar officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are made by Robert Massie Funeral Home. Gilbert was born October 2, 1943 in Somerset, TX to Manuel and Katie Garza. He married Olivia Ortiz, March 26, 1973 in San Angelo. Gilbert worked as a Mechanic for many years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends. He will always be loved and missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Katie Garza. Survivors are: Wife:Olivia Garza of San Angelo Two Daughters: Laura Rodriguez and husband Eli of San Angelo Cissy Graves and husband, Brian of Weatherford Two Sons:Gilbert Garza Jr. and wife, Ryan of Cedar Park, TX Manuel Garza and wife, Rosa of San Angelo Three Brothers:Enrique Garza of Somerset, TX Charlie Garza of Dover, DE David Garza of DesMoines, IA One Sister:Rose Marie Etheredge of Liberty Hill, TX Eleven grandchildren Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Pallbearers will be Victor Estrada, George Rojas, Lorenzo Martinez, Reyes Menchaca, Joshua Rodriguez, Eric Valadez. The family would like to thank the Nurses and Staff of 4 South, of Shannon Medical, and also Dr. Melott and Dr. McCarthy for the wonderful care given to Mr. Garza.
