GLADYS BUSSELL BAER

Gladys Bussell Baer, 77, of San Angelo passed away Monday, May 15, 2006 at her residence. Graveside service will be held at 10 :00 AM, May 19, 2006 at the Belvedere Memorial Park Cemetery with Diane Terrazas, Associate in Ministry officiating. Arrangements are made by Robert Massie Funeral Home. Gladys was born August 13, 1928 in Nicholas County, Kentucky to Gobel and Sarah Bussell. Gladys grew up in Nicholas Co. with her ten siblings. She came to San Angelo following two of her sisters in 1963. She met "Yogi" Robert Baer in 1964. Gladys followed her husband's Air Force career and was stationed in Germany for four years. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 1815 for several years. Her favorite hobby was bowling. She also enjoyed gardening and the outdoors. Gladys was a simple woman, yet lived a very adventurous life. She will be missed by all that knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Robert Earl Baer, grandsons Kevin Ziegler and Christopher Baer McCann. Survivors are: Daughters:Elizabeth Ziegler and husband, Robert of Cranberry Township, PA Melody Kelley of San Angelo Son:Earl Baer of San Angelo Brothers:Harvey Bussell of Maysville, KY Harold Bussell Floyd Bussell Both of Carlisle, KY Jay Bussell of Roosevelt, Utah Sister:Shirley Mitchell of Carlisle, KY Grandchildren Donna Smith and husband, Ricky, Connie Kelley, Vangie McShan and husband, Wayne, All of San Angelo, Patricia Krokonko and husband Patrick of Beaver, PA; Beth Johns and husband, Bill of Cranberry Township, PA; Jenny Pittman and husband, Shawn stationed at Camp Pendleton, CA; Great-grandchildren Heather Pruitt and husband, Billy,Aaron Smith, Emma McShan All of San Angelo, Kristina Krokonko Jonathan Krokonko Both of Beaver, PA, Megan and Lindsey Johns of Cranberry Township, PA; Great-great-grandchildren Abryana and Isaiah Pruitt of San Angelo. The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Vista Care, Alice Moreno with CCAD and Meals for the Elderly.
