GLADYS ARDAIN THACKER

Gladys Ardain Thacker, 83, of Abilene, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, November 13, 2005 in Abilene, TX. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, November 16, 2005 at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Chaplain Jim Benson officiating. Burial will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are made by Robert Massie Funeral Home in San Angelo, TX. Ardain was born July 22, 1922, in Joplin, TX. She married Arvil Thacker, November 6, 1937, in Melvin. She is preceded in death by her husband, Arvil Thacker and one infant son, parents, Monroe and Bessie Jennings. Survivors are: Son:Dewayne Thacker and wife, Francine of Hobbs, NM Four daughters:Claudine Holt of Abilene Linda LeMay and husband, James of Abilene Edna Miller of Alamogordo, NM Doris Glasscock and husband, David of Ft. Worth Sister:Ruth Jennings of Estancia, NM Seventeen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren and thirteen great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be grandsons Justin Glasscock, Chad Thacker, Kevin Thacker, Corwyn Holt, Floyd Holt and Lloyd Holt.
