Glenda Ann Means Phillips, age 57, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Monday, February 12, 2018 at Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo, TX. Glenda was born July 21, 1960 in Fort Worth, TX to Bobby and Dorothy (Fallin) Means. She was a 1978 graduate of Aledo High School and worked for the March of Dimes while attending Weatherford College. In 1984, she graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor's degree and teaching certification in elementary education. After graduating from Texas Tech, she married Barry Phillips, III, and moved to Pecan Gap, TX where she began her teaching career. In 1984, the couple moved to Odessa, TX where Glenda worked as an elementary school teacher for 28 years. In 2012, she moved to Brownwood, TX and taught in Bangs, TX where she was still employed as a 7th grade math teacher. She is survived by her two adoring daughters, Shanae Rhiannon Phillips and Kelsey Jae Phillips, as well as her loving sisters, Rebecca Brooks, Susan Chancellor, and Judy Means. She is also survived by her nieces, Nikki Robbins and Whitney Rike as well as her brother-in-laws Steve Brooks and Preston Chancellor. Glenda was a devoted, dependable, loving angel who enjoyed math puzzles, family games, comfort food, travelling, teaching, and spending time with her favorite pet dog, Miss Priss. She asked to please be remembered as "one of the best sisters, mother, and aunt." Services will be held privately.
