GLORIA MAXINE HUCKABY

Gloria M. Huckaby went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 12, 2004 in San Angelo after a lengthy illness. Gloria was born February 26, 1927 in Ackerly, Texas. She was the first child of Beatrice and Reagan Holcomb. Family visitation will be from 6-8 PM, Wednesday, December 15, at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Funeral will be held 10:00 AM, Thursday, December 16, 2004 at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Dr. I.W. Greer officiating. Burial will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Gloria married Raymond Charles Huckaby on December 7, 1954. She was a member of the VFW and was an active choir member of Bethel Baptist Church in San Angelo. She was preceded in death by her dad Reagan Holcomb, her mother Beatrice Holcomb, her first husband Bill Williams and a son Raymond Craig Huckaby. She is survived by her husband, Raymond Charles of San Angelo; daughter Dorothy Ann Williams of Atlanta, Georgia, Cheryl Switzer and husband, Bob of Odessa, Debbie Arrott and husband Jimmy of Ozona, son Reggie Williams and wife June of Sonora, daughters Charlotte Huckaby of San Angelo, Mary George and husband Ranjan of San Angelo, two sisters, Geneva Holcomb of Granbury and Mary Ann Bailey of San Angelo. She also has seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Bob Switzer, Jimmy Arrot, Ranjan George, Randy Schacherl, Bryce Williams and Byron Williams. Family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Granaghan and deep appreciation to all the nursing staff of Baptist Memorial. The family request memorials to be made to Baptist Memorial, Meals on Wheels or to your favorite charity.
