Gloria A. Mata, 83, of San Angelo, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Sunday 8/23/2015 in San Angelo. Prayer Service will be 7 pm Tuesday, 8/25/2015 at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 10 am, Wednesday 8/26/2015 at Robert Massie with Pastor Daniel Olivan of Segunda Iglesia Bautista, officiating. Burial will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Robert Massie Funeral Home. Gloria Alejandro Mata was born in Nueva Rosita, Coahuila, Mexico to Juan Alvarez Alejandro and Maria deJesus Rocha Martinez on 07/01/1932. She married Jose Jesus Mata on July 24, 1955 in Nueva Rosita, Coahuila, Mexico. They recently celebrated 60 years of marriage. She was a wife, mother, and grandmother. Her family knew her as someone who was loving, caring, and nurturing. She devoted much of her time reading her bible and sharing and instilling her faith in the family and with others. She was a faithful member of Segunda Iglesia Bautista. Gloria Mata is preceded in death by her parents, 11 siblings and grandchild Rebecca Eve Mata. Gloria Mata is survived by loving husband Jose Jesus Mata and children Joe Mata, Adriana Robledo and husband Armando, Sylvia Flores and husband Noe, Julian Mata and wife Margaret, Lupe Mata and wife Gloria, Johnny Mata and wife Maria, Rosemary Mata, and Jaime Mata. 21 Grand children and 3 Great-Grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Joe Mata III, Andrew Mata, Marcos Mata, Jacob Flores, Lupe P. Mata, Johnny Mata Jr., Mario Mata, Amador Mata.
