Gonzalo Munoz

Gonzalo Munoz, 76 of San Angelo went to be with the Lord on Thursday September 21, 2011 at a local hosptial. Rosary will be 7:00 PM Sunday September 25, 2011 at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Monday September 26, 2011 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Deacon Claudio Sanchez, officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are with Robert Massie Funeral Home. Gonzalo was born January 5, 1935 in San Angelo to Guadalupe and Erminia (Maines) Munoz. Gonzalo retired as the maintenance director for SAISD after 36 years and was a Navy veteran. He really loved spending time with his grandson, Kaleb, who kept him young and active chasing him around. Pallbearers will be Vincente Munoz Jr., Manuel Munoz, Joe Munoz, Henry Munoz, Pete Munoz, Leo Buentello, Charlie Acevedo and Juan Munoz. He is predeceased by his parents and five brothers; Catalino Munoz, Vicente Munoz, Juan Munoz, Vic Munoz and Trinidad Munoz and one sister, Eusebia Munoz. Survivors include three daughters; Diana Munoz and and Marisa Hernandez, both of San Angelo and Christella Munoz of Albuquerque, NM; a grandson; Kaleb Hernandez of San Angelo and numerous nieces and nephews.
