Gracie Chapman Jacks, 93, of Brownwood, passed away Wednesday on July 8, 2015 at area care center surrounded by her family. Graveside services will be held at 11:00am Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home. She was born on June 4, 1922 to Sanford and Reula (Langham) Petty in Santa Anna, TX. Gracie worked as a homemaker. She was preceded in death by mother, Reula May Petty and her father, Sanford Houston Petty, first husband, Earl Cecil Chapman and a second husband, Craig Jacks, 6 brothers and 3 sisters and a son in law, Max Rowell and a grandson, Josh Jacks. Survivors include her son, Cecil Ray (Florence) Chapman of San Angelo, daughter, Wilma Joyce Rowell of Midland, son, Elmer Lee (Solange) Chapman of Brownwood, son, Johnny Earl (Lana) Chapman of Hamilton, TX, daughter, Kathy May (Cliff) Jacks of Allen, TX, 22 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren and 26 great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.
