At 8:30 on the beautiful morning of Friday, July 8, my precious father took his last breath and passed to a more peaceful home. Daddy is walking with his mother and father, strolling forever in the gardens of Heaven. His eyesight is clear, his breathing is easy, and his hands are no longer cold. Graveside services will be 11:00 Tuesday July 12, 2005 at the Rose Hill cemetery in Tulia, Texas with Pastor Doris Hueckert, chaplain of Hospice in Dimmitt, officiating. He is remembered by his daughter and her husband, Tanya and Daniel Gutierrez of San Angelo; the apple of his eye, his granddaughter, Rebecca Carver Fagan of Chesapeake, Virginia; his sister, M. Loys Raymer of Kerrville; his older brother and wife, Leroy and Leona Carver of Amarillo; and his younger brother, Joe Carver of Dimmitt. It is said that angels walk among us and I know this to be true, for those whose names I know are written forever in my heart. I give thanks for the care and gentleness of those who cared for my daddy, especially the Hospice nurses, Alice and Debbie, who held his hand and gently stroked his head. God bless you all and may your wings carry you forever and a day. Be at peace, daddy, and rest well. I will check on you in a bit! Always, your loving daughter....
