Hal Thomas Churchill, 96, passed away Monday, February 7, 2022, in Eden.
Mr. Churchill was born September 22, 1925 in Ft. Cobb, Oklahoma to Mont and Emma Churchill. Hal graduated from Ft. Cobb Schools. Hal was a veteran of the US Navy serving during WWII. After returning from his service in the Navy Hal enrolled at Oklahoma A&M, where he graduated with a bachelor's in agriculture. After graduation Hal went to work for the USDA as a Market News Reporter. Hal retired after 30 years, with the last 20 years being here in San Angelo. Hal's passion in life was rodeos, calf roping, and training calf horses. Hal would always be one to help the kids learn to rope. Hal had a strong faith in God. Hal enjoyed going dancing with friends later in life. He was still dancing at 90 years old.
Survivors include his son, Tony Churchill of Carlsbad; his granddaughter, Katy Shanklin and husband Asa of Rocksprings; their three children, Saige, Azlyn, and Tildyn; his grandson, Tell Churchill and wife Natalee of Ft. Cobb; their children, Gentry, and Emma; a cousin, Eldon Dudley; and many lifetime friends.
No services are scheduled at this time. Memorial services will be at a later date. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.
