Harold N. Thompson, 86, of San Angelo, passed away on 28 December 2017 in San Angelo, Texas. Graveside ceremony with military honors will be 2:00pm Saturday January 6, 2018 at Ivy Cemetery, Christoval, Texas. Arrangements are by Robert Massie Funeral Home. Harold N. Thompson was born 22 June 1931 to James William and Zelma Thompson. He went to school at Jordan, Utah. He married Judith J. Jensen on 18 March 1953 in Salt Lake City. He is a graduate of the University of Utah, Syracuse University, and Southeastern Louisiana University. He was a veteran with over 23 years of service in the U.S. Army, with overseas tours in Korea, Germany, and Vietnam, and was awarded various campaign medals, the Bronze Star, and Legion of Merit. Upon retirement from the Army, he worked as an instructor for 17 years at El Paso Community College, El Paso, Texas. Upon retirement from El Paso Community College, he served as a volunteer with the El Paso Police Department for 10 years. Harold Thompson is preceded in death by his parents, James William and Zelma Thompson; brother, Dale Thompson; and sisters, Joy Parry and Beth Bateman. Harold Thompson is survived by his wife, Judith Thompson; brother, Jimmy Thompson; sons, Robert, Peter, and Jerry Thompson; grandson, Joshua Thompson; granddaughters Rebecca and Brittany Thompson; and great granddaughter, Lilliana Thompson.
