Helen Elizabeth Denton of San Angelo, Texas went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at the age of 98. Helen was born April 24, 1919, in Waco, Texas, to Arthur N. and Effie Turner. She grew up in Eastland County, Texas, with her parents, nine brothers and sisters. Helen married Alvis Lee Denton on November 25, 1943 in Gorman, Texas, and they shared 54 loving years together before his death in 1998, living in Texon, Big Lake and San Angelo, Texas. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Alvis, sisters, Leoda Leathers, Nettie Denton, Vada Collins, Dorothy Beaty, Annie Odell Turner, Juanita Spence, brothers, Lonnie Turner, Johnnie Turner and C. B. Turner. She is survived by her daughter Ann Williams and husband Dr. Rick Wiliams of San Angelo, Texas, two grandchildren, Alexis Daniel and husband Dusty of Dallas, Texas; Matthew Wiliams and wife Kim of Dallas, TX and two great grandchildren, Michael Williams and Katherine Williams of Dallas, Texas, and many nieces and nephews and friends. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00am Saturday, December 9, 2017 at First Baptist Church under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home, with Dr. James Hassell, Pastor of First Baptist Church of San Angelo officiating with interment following at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. The family wishes to thank the staff of Sagecrest, The Crest and Division 2 of the Baptist Retirement Community for their loving care and compassion during her final days.
