HELEN "MARUCA" TORREZ

Helen Minjarez Torrez (Maruca) went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 4, 2007 at her home surrounded by her family. Rosary will be 7:00 PM Friday September 7, 2007 at the Robert Massie Funeral Home Riverside Chapel. Mass of Christian burial will be 10:00 AM Saturday September 8, 2007 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Father David Herrera, officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are by Robert Massie Funeral Home. She was born on May 2, 1939 in Bronte, Tx. to Melquides and Rumalda Minjarez. She was employed at Ethicon for 26 years until she retired in 1995. She is survived by her husband, Raymond Torrez Jr.; three sons, James Torrez and wife, Cathleen,Ray Torrez and wife, Melinda, Kenny Torrez and Janell Gomez, all of San Angelo; two daughters, Lisa Guerra and husband, Marty of Austin , Tanya Rojas and husband, Michael. Grandchildren; Ashley Torrez of Boerne, TX., Tyler Coleman, Michael Morales, Courtney Torrez, Brendan Torrez, Hunter Diego, Shea Rojas, Raeleigh Torrez, all of San Angelo and Marisa Guerra of Austin, Tx. and one great-grandchild Trinity Arispe of Boerne, Tx.; two brothers;Jose Trevino and wife, Adela, Joe Minjarez and Yolanda Charles; six sisters; Syvlia Grimaldo and husband, Jesse, Albesa Minjarez, Tommie Regino and husband, Alberto, Alicia Bastardo and husband, Armando, Anna Hernandez and Dan Gaitan, all of San Angelo and Terri Narducci of Killeen, Tx.; Brother-in-Law; Alfred Torrez and wife, Sally; sisters-in-Law; Linda Castro and husband, Hector, Olga Shackelford and husband, Jim; mother-in-Law; Juanita Torres and numerous nieces and nephews and her loving pets, Baby and Dutchess. Pallbearers will be nephews, Jesse Minjarez, Michael Trevino, Anthony Galindo, Jon-Marc Torrez, Gabriel Castro, Alfredo Hernandez and Randy Minjarez. Honorary Pallbearers will be Grandsons. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the Hospice of San Angelo doctors and nurses that cared for "Maruca" and for family members who were there for all of us.
