Herman Ed Idleman, 78, of San Angelo, TX, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2009. Funeral services will be held at 3pm on Saturday, September 12 at Robert Massie Funeral Home with James Mitchell of Immanuel Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Cemetery. Herman was born in Tatums, OK to Edd and Eva Idleman on May 24, 1931. He married Barbara Linville Idleman on September 25, 1950. He worked in the oil field for 45 years in Lea County, N.M. Herman is preceded in death by both his parents, 3 brothers Hershel Idleman, Herrel Idleman and Hubert Idleman, 2 sisters Hazel Westfall and Helen White. Herman is survived by his wife Barbara Idleman, his sons James Denton Idleman and Guy Neal Idleman, his daughter Pernecia Idleman Marks, 2 sisters Jane Little and Harriett Renner, 12 Grandchildren and 12 great-Grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Brett Idleman, Trenton Marks, Michael Marks, Jimmy Marks, Jerit Martin and Charles Idleman. In lieu of flowers, memorials to your local Alzheimer'™s Association would be appreciated. The family of Herman Idleman wishes to extend our sincere appreciation to Dr. Chang of San Angelo, the staff of Shannon Hospital, Dr. Rightmire of Ballinger and the wonderful staff of Ballinger Health Care Center for the loving care they provided him.
