Herminia "Minnie" Flores Martinez, age 92, of San Angelo passed away Friday, January 25, 2008 at a local hospital. Rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 28, 2008 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father David Herrera officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Herminia was born on June 25, 1915 in San Angelo to Jose and Porfiria Flores. Minnie married Ezequiel Martinez on May 23, 1936, in San Angelo. They started their life together in Knickerbocker on the Tweedy Ranch where she raised their children. Ezequiel passed away on August 9, 1985. Minnie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son; Albert Martinez, son-in-law; Daniel S. Munoz, Sr.; brothers; Eliseo Flores, Jose Flores, Jr. and Rudolpho Flores and a sister; Virginia Flores. She is survived by her daughter Nina Munoz, of San Angelo; son Ezequiel Martinez, Jr. and wife Lena of Omaha, NE; granddaughters; Edna Ramirez and husband, Uvalde; Dorothy Noriega and husband Angel, and Cindy Garza; grandson Daniel Munoz, Jr. and wife Esther all of San Angelo; step - grandchildren Andi Thompson, Connie Savala, Lucy Edmonds, Pete Ramirez, Jessie Thompson, Willie Negrete and Ralph Negrete all of Omaha, NE; great-granddaughters Rachel Mata and husband, Eddie, Miranda Munoz, Natalie Garza all of San Angelo; great-grandsons; Matthew Gonzales, Joshua Ramirez both of San Angelo; thirty step-great-grandchildren in Omaha, NE; and a great-great-grandson Joshua Mata of San Angelo; special nephew Manuel Garcia and wife, Anita of San Angelo and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Angel Noriega, Uvalde Ramirez, Daniel Munoz, Jr., Carlos Garcia, Richard Martinez, Matthew Gonzales, Manuel Garcia and Ambrosio Munoz, Jr. The family would like to extend a special thank you to caregivers Eldia Cortez and Ashley Ruff. They would also like say thank you for all the warm and compassionate care received at San Angelo Community Hospital's ICU Unit and for all the prayers from friends of the family.
