HOWARD LESLIE GARRISON

Dr. Howard Leslie Garrison passed from this life into the loving arms of his Savior on Thursday, October 5, 2006. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, October 9, 2006 at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens followed by a Memorial service at 2:00 PM at the Baptist Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jesse L. Kidd officiating. Arrangements are made by Robert Massie Funeral Home. Leslie was born November 20, 1916 in Wadena, Saskatchewan, Canada to Howard Jay and Mary Eliza Garrison. He was an ordained minister in the Evangelical Free Church of America and served as a missionary in Colombia and Guatemala and later in the field of Christian Education. Leslie and Myrtle Pauline Everitt were married on October 22, 1977. In 1983 Leslie became a proud citizen of the United States of America. He and Pauline moved to Baptist Memorials Retirement Center in December, 1999 where he enjoyed the fellowship and security of his surroundings. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Leslie was preceded in death by his parents and his son Hugh Leslie Garrison. Survivors are his wife of 28 years Pauline Garrison of the home; daughters Gail Pybus and Arensha Garrison and grandson Ari Bozoian of British Columbia, Canada; sisters Mabel Scramstad of Alberta and Sybil Weinmaster and husband Milbert of Saskatchewan, Canada and nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Baptist Memorials Ministries or to Immanuel Baptist church building fund.
