HOWARD ANDY "COONY" MCCORMICK

Howard A. McCormick, 80, of San Angelo passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at his residence surrounded by his loving family after a lengthy illness. Howard was born in Altona, Pa. to Lillian Fetter McCormick on September 5, 1928. He married the love of his life and best friend Dorothy Crissman in 1950 in Cumberland, Maryland. He retired from Monarch Tile as a truck driver and then went to work for San Angelo Packing for a number of years. He proudly served in the United States Army as a Sgt. in Germany during World War II. He loved the out doors, hunting, fishing, or just outside on the patio. His family and friends were very special to him. He was a devoted father and loving husband. He was also a member of Christ Lutheran Church, a member of the VFW, and the Masonic Lodge. Family visitations will be on Thursday, September 11, 2008 from 6p.m. to 8p.m. at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 12, 2008 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Internment will be at Belvedere Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Jerry Lara, Randy Speiker, Sonny Sherrad, Corey McCormick, Kevin Waddell, and Rob McCormick. Howard was preceded in death by his mother Lillian McCormick and a grandson Barrett McCormick. He is survived by his wife Dorothy McCormick of San Angelo, Tx; Sons, Robert McCormick and wife Susan of Robert Lee, Tx; Landis McCormick of San Angelo, Tx; Phillip McCormick and wife DeAnn of San Angelo, Tx; and Johnny Calvert of San Angelo, Tx. Daughters, Kay Mixon of San Angelo, Tx; Dian Jackson of Mesquite, Tx; and Dawn Jones of San Angelo, Tx. One aunt, Katherine Ingram of Midland, Pa. Grandsons, Robert, Corey, Chase, Kevin, Brandon, and Dakotah. Grand daughters, Melissa, Kayla, and Kimber. Great Grand daughter Charlene, Brookelyn, Tara, Trinity, and Constance. Great grandson Gavin. A special thank you to Johny Calvert, Dawn Jones, Jerry Lara, Sonny and Roxanne Sherrad, Roger McCullin, and 4th floor Shannon and Vistacare.
