Irene Sklenarik, 62, of San Angelo passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at home. Irene was born on June 7, 1955 in Sweetwater, Texas to Manuel Ramon and Consuelo Munoz. She graduated from Sweetwater High School. She married Richard Sklenarik on May 6, 2003 in San Angelo, Texas. She worked as a receptionist in the medical field for over 15 years. She enjoyed gardening, scrapbooking, shopping and spending time with her friends and family. She was known for her unconditional love for the Dallas Cowboys. When she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer she remained dedicated to her faith and in her will to fight her illness. She remained a brave, iron willed woman even in her final weeks. Irene was preceded in death by her husband, parents and her brother in law, Stephen McGinley. Irene is survived by her daughter, Bridgett Ramon of Abilene; grandson, Jacob Lopez of San Angelo; sisters Gloria Fetterer; Dora Beasley of Sweetwater; Carolina Inguanzo and husband Robert of Fremont, CA; Nellie McGinley of Sweetwater; Marina Ingram and husband Pat of Ozone, AR; and Esmeralda (Amy) Ramon of Jarrell; brothers; Manuel Ramon Jr of Jarrell; Abel Ramon of Jarrell; and Ramon Ramon of San Angelo; brother-in-law Robert Sklenarik and wife Jeanne of Miles; and many nieces, great-nieces, nephews and great-nephews. A family visitation will be held Wednesday, October 25, 2017, 6:00-8:00pm at the Robert Massie Funeral Home; the funeral service will be at the Miles United Methodist Church, 304 Broadway St. Miles, Texas on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at 10:00am; and the burial will follow in the Miles Cemetery under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Miles United MethodistcChurch, PO Box 205, Miles, TX 76861 The family would like to thank Kindred Hospice for the excellent and loving care provided by all their staff.
